Too many young Victorians face barriers to accessing nature, limiting their opportunities to thrive.
Active in Nature creates opportunities for young people to connect with nature, build meaningful relationships and explore future possibilities.
Active in Nature: Growing Opportunities for Brighter Futures
Led by Outdoors Victoria, Active in Nature brings together trusted partners to create meaningful outdoor experiences for young people.

Adventure activities vary and may include:
hiking, learning bush skills, orienteering, rafting, mountain-biking, yoga, climbing and abseiling.
Every program is co-designed around the interests, strengths, aspirations and support needs of the young people involved.
As a result, every program can look different.

Beyond the program
Active in Nature helps improve the conditions around our young people, so communities can create more opportunities for them in future.
Participating Community Partners tell us:
-
engage with specialist outdoor practitioners
-
access local parks and nature for future programs
-
support young people through nature and outdoor recreation
-
explore new partnerships that create opportunities for young people

All Active in Nature partners respectfully acknowledge our Traditional Owners, their Elders past and present, for the important role Indigenous people continue to play in Victoria, especially on land and waters used for outdoor education and recreation.
