Active in Nature has connected more than 1000 young Victorians with meaningful outdoor experiences that build confidence, strengthen relationships and open pathways to brighter futures.

“It was really fun to just be out on the water, just cruising and having conversations down the river was what I enjoyed the most”

Reaching young people who need it most
Active in Nature supports young people (13-25 years old) from communities experiencing some of our greatest barriers to health, wellbeing and opportunity — including disadvantage, social isolation, mental health distress, disability and settlement challenges.
describes our Active in Nature journey for our participating young people.

Building confidence, calm and connection in nature.

Strengthening belonging, social connection and support networks.

Creating new opportunities, skills and pathways for the future.

All Active in Nature partners respectfully acknowledge our Traditional Owners, their Elders past and present, for the important role Indigenous people continue to play in Victoria, especially on land and waters used for outdoor education and recreation.
